A dog is a man’s best friend, but that doesn’t mean the pet doesn’t still have animal instincts. 4.5 million people are bitten by dogs each year in the U.S., the most common victims being children. Dogs could defend themselves out of fear, for perceiving a threat, from remembering past trauma, or due to being in unfamiliar situations.
Van Sant Law has created a guide detailing more reasons why dogs may lash out, as well as what to do to prevent it from happening in the first place.
To learn the reasons and how to protect yourself, please see the provided guide.
